The Bible tells the story of a divine romance, the love of God for people like you. The response he wants is your willing love for him. Romance is about the lover and the beloved. God is the lover, the greatest lover this world has ever known, and we are his beloved people.
The Bible is a book about marriage, God in Christ married to his bride, the church. The word church is defined as God's people receiving the love of Christ and called to be his bride.
God is a faithful lover. He will not leave you nor forsake you. His love is steadfast and sure. You can trust him to love you forever. Nothing can separate the believer from the love of God. Nothing in life, nor death itself, can separate you from God's faithful love.
"Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever" (Psalm 106:1, NLT).
"Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39, NLT).
