Grow in Understanding

Are you growing as a believer? If you are not, it is only because of malnutrition. God gives you pastors and other teachers to feed you upon the word of truth. As you grow in grace and understanding, you continue to feed upon a steady diet of Bible teaching.

Without the proper spiritual food, you may become weak in your faith. Make sure that you are receiving a balanced diet of God's truth from the Bible. Then, you will mature in your faith. Do not accept a lack of growth in your understanding.

Believers need to grow in their faith and understanding of God. A new believer is considered a babe in Christ. You are to grow in the grace and knowledge of your Lord Jesus Christ. That means you grow in your faith and understanding of God's love.

A baby is first fed milk to grow, followed by solid food in the months and years ahead. The milk and solid food for believers is found in the Bible. It has the spiritual food that you need to grow in your understanding of God. As you grow in understanding of God, your faith becomes stronger.

"But grow in the special favor and knowledge
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
To him be all glory and honor,
both now and forevermore. Amen."
2 Peter 3:18, NLT
