The gift of hope is born in your heart as a child of God. Hope has to do with the future, even your eternal future. Your hope is based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because He lives, you too shall live and be in His glorious likeness. Christ is your hope.
Unbelief readily admits, "How can I know that there is life after death? I have no such hope." Faith testifies, "I know that Jesus lives, and when my body is dead, I shall see Him." It's a hope that the world cannot understand. It is hope real to the heart of every born again child of God.
Faith and hope are inseparably joined together. As a believer, you can be sure that death cannot separate you from the love of God in Christ. Faith is the evidence of things not seen.
Your hope is joined with love, even God's everlasting love for you. Life passes quickly. Faith, hope, and love abide. God is love. Your hope is in God. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is your hope, steadfast and true.
"And now abide faith, hope, and love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love."
