Your Past Sins

Do you have a past sin that allows guilt to attack you? That is a common experience of so many believers in Christ. It is simply because you are looking in the wrong direction. You can look at all the memories of your past sins. They continue to produce guilt. Better to look at the cross of Jesus, where your Savior died to take away your sin and guilt.

Guilt says, "You know that you committed all of those sins in your past.  Shame on you. You will never have peace about what you did." Mercy says, "Sure, you are guilty. Now look to the cross of Jesus. His blood paid the price to bring forgiveness. Receive His forgiveness and let go of your guilt."

The Bible teaches no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. You have a choice to live with guilt, or to believe God's good news in Christ. Faith receives freedom from condemnation and guilt through Jesus Christ. Put your past sins in the past. Receive mercy in Christ.

"There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh,
but according to the Spirit."

Romans 8:1
