God Answers Prayer

How is your prayer life? Do you really believe God answers prayer? If you don't believe God will really answer prayer, it becomes a meaningless exercise of words. You may even ask, "Why should God answer my prayers?" That's the key question for all of us to answer.

God answers prayer because He wants a personal relationship with you. Prayer is intimately personal. It is talking to God about your doubts, sins, and needs. It is sharing your feelings and requests. Prayer is being transparent with God. It is intimately personal.

God answers prayer because He loves you. He is God your Father. He is fatherly toward all and the Father of all who come to Him through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. Because He loves you, He cares about every area of your life. He will forgive you, give to you, provide for you, and work in your life.

God answers prayer because you trust Him. Faith pleases God. He invites you to come to Him by faith. That means you have confidence in Him and His word of promise, the Bible. You may find wonderful promises in the Bible for all who believe.

Your faith in God is based upon His promises. Unbelief rejects God's promises. Faith believes and receives what God has promised. Here is His promise: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know"  (Jeremiah 33:3).
