God Goes Before You

As a believer, you have the assurance that God is with you. He is with you always. He has promised never to leave you. God says to you, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). However, it even gets better than that. God goes before you in every situation of life. "The LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you" (Deuteronomy 31:8).

God goes before you to prepare the way. His providence rules over all the details of your life. Forget chance. Dismiss luck. God is in the details of your life. He prepares the way for you in all things. The world believes in random chance. We believe in God, who is working in all things for those who love Him. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

God goes before you to provide for you. Providence and provide are akin in God's purpose for you. You need not fear the future. Remember, God goes before you. He is your future. Nothing comes your way unless God ordains it or permits it. When things look bleak and hopeless, God is your hope. He has gone before you. God is there in your future.

God goes before your death. In death and life after death, Jesus is your future. He is the resurrection and the life. God goes before you with life eternal. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Never fear death, because God goes before you. He has prepared the way for you. Jesus says, "I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2).
