See God's Power

What does the cross of Jesus mean to you? To those who don't believe Christ died for their sins, the cross is meaningless as far as life today. It's simply something that happened to a man centuries ago. To you who believe, Christ crucified is the power of God unto salvation.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18). The power of God is seen in Christ crucified to all who are being saved. They see the power of God's love and mercy bringing freedom from sin and condemnation.

Three days after Jesus died upon the cross, the power of God raised Him from the dead. The grave is empty. Christ the Lord is risen. The same power of God which raised Jesus from the dead changes lives today. They see God's power at the cross. They experience God's power in their lives.

Unbelief honestly says, "What could Christ crucified possibly have to do with me?" Faith says, "He died in my place. He suffered and died for my sins." If you believe that Jesus took your place at the cross, and died for your sins, then you have experienced the power of God unto salvation.

You are assured that God loves you at the cross of Jesus. You are accepted by God in Christ. You may even be amazed that others don't understand, nor believe. The difference is the experience of God's power through the Holy Spirit working in your heart.
