A Life Well Lived

You need the support of other people from birth until death. Others need your support. You find that needed support through family, church, and friends. Your life is well lived, when you serve and support others. Your influence and example may live through others.

God gave you life to live well. He wants to live through you in a personal relationship. It's a relationship of love and trust. A relationship with God brings peace and joy. Also, a relationship with God always includes others. A life lived for God is lived for others.

The life of Jesus was lived in a way unlike any other. The reason is obvious. He lived for God the Father and others. He surrendered His will to the Father's will. He served others, and even died for others. His life is eternal, forever for others, unlike any other. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

A life well lived is empowered by the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Christ, transforming our lives to live well. The Holy Spirit fills the life of every believer, as we yield to Jesus as Lord. He fills you with the love of God, that you may love others. "The fruit of the Spirit is love" (Galatians 5:22). A life lived for God is a life well lived.
