When You Meet Mercy

Everyone needs to meet mercy. However, it usually takes a crisis to make us realize our need for mercy. It's during times of sickness and sorrow, shame and guilt, fear and anxiety, failure and hardship, that we are awakened to our need to meet mercy.

Mercy is forever, because God is forever. "For the LORD is good. His mercy is forever" (Psalm 100:5). Your personal relationship with God begins when you meet mercy. The goodness of mercy leads you to understand who God really is. Knowing God in a personal relationship is meeting mercy.

Mercy is only a prayer away. Mercy is there for you. When you realize your need for mercy, simply ask God to have mercy upon you. He will, because His mercy is forever. You are asking God to be God, because that's who He is. Mercy is an attribute of God's character. That's the reason mercy is forever.

God shows His goodness to you through mercy. God is never hesitant to grant mercy. His mercy is effective when it makes a change in your life. To really meet mercy is to fill your heart with thanks for the goodness of God. When you meet mercy, you meet God.
