Beware of Unbelief

Unbelief comes only to rob you of God's blessings. Unbelief cuts you off from all the good things of God. Unbelief is the choice of a heart that is hard against the goodness of God. It never considers that it could be wrong, even eternally wrong. Unbelief defiantly says, no, to all that God graciously offers.

Unbelief comes with a variety of differences. For instance, there are those who believe in a supreme being, but they don't believe a personal relationship with God is possible. Others believe in a deity, but they don't believe in the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Still others, believe in Jesus Christ, but they don't believe in His power in our lives today. They believe His power was in the past, but not in the present.

Unbelief is seeking to steal the blessings of God for you through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "You believe in God, believe also in Me" (John 14:1). All the blessings of God come to you in Christ. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3). Believing is receiving God's blessings.

Unbelief is never your friend. To the contrary, unbelief is your number one enemy, trying to steal what God graciously offers you in Christ. The Holy Spirit comes to you to expose the sin of unbelief. Jesus taught that the Holy Spirit convicts of unbelief, "of sin, because they believe not in Me" (John 16:9). Don't let unbelief rob you of God's blessings. Beware of unbelief.
