God's judgment was placed upon Jesus at the cross for your sins. In your place, Jesus was judged for your sins. Judgment was served, that God could be both just and merciful. Justice was fully paid for your sins, God could show mercy to you. In Christ, God's mercy triumphed over judgment, "that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus" (Romans 3:26). Mercy in Christ is God's good news for you.
