". . . since you are demanding proof
that Christ is speaking through me."
2 Corinthians 13:3
The apostle Paul was aware that the living Christ was speaking through him to the church at Corinth. He wrote two letters to this church which are found in the New Testament. Christ is still speaking to us today through the Scripture. The Holy Bible is the word of the living Christ to everyone. As Paul addressed specific problems and real needs in the church at Corinth, he spoke with the inspiration of the risen Christ.
Ask Christ to speak to you concerning your needs and problems. He has a word of knowledge and wisdom about all the situations of your life. He is the believer's counselor. Times and customs have changed drastically since the first century, when the apostle wrote his letters of the New Testament, but we face the same type of problems and similar situations common to all mankind. His word is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).
We can easily know when we have heard a word for us from the living Christ. His word works in our hearts. The first evidence of such a word is faith to trust him in any and every situation. "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17, NIV). His word calls forth faith that changes our lives.
Speak to our hearts Lord Jesus.
