Yes, God Loves You

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet still sinners,
Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

A minister delivered a message that Sunday morning from the pulpit on the love of God for us. After the service a man shook his hand and said, "That sermon sounded great. As a matter of fact, it sounds too good to be true." The minister said, "It's too good to be true, but it's too good because God is good. His love is true." True love comes from God through His Son Jesus Christ. It's received by faith at the cross.

A man said to his wife, "I'm not good enough to be a Christian." His wife replied, "God is good enough to make you a Christian." That's the good news of Christ. He loves us "while we were yet still sinners." Being a Christian is not about how good we are. It's about how good God is. It's about receiving God's goodness through Christ.

God doesn't love us because we are good enough. He loves us because He is good enough. God loves sinners. The cross proves it. Yes, God loves us. His love pursues us through Christ.

Today, God's Spirit moves in our lives to receive His love for us as sinners (Romans 5:5). As we receive His love, our lives are changed. Do you believe God loves you? The Bible declares it. The cross proves it. The Holy Spirit applies it.

Yes, God loves you.

God, we receive Your love for us in Christ.
