Change your mind and change your life. The Bible calls that repentance. That word simply means change of mind. It leads to a change in your life. If you are ready to make a change in life, change your mind to agree with God's word and good will in Christ. The Spirit of God will be your Helper to change your life.
Either your mind is yielded to your sin nature or the Spirit of God. That makes all the difference in your life. If your sin nature controls your thoughts, there is often confusion, fear, doubt, and indecision. If the Spirit of God is working in your mind, there is peace. God can give you peace of mind. "But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace" (Romans 8:6, NLT).
When Jesus Christ comes into your life, He brings peace of mind. All who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ receive the Holy Spirit. "The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you" (Romans 8:11, NLT). That means you have peace with God and peace from God. Your mind is renewed by the Holy Spirit. "Let God transform you into a new person by the way you think" (Romans 12:2, NLT).
Even believers may have thoughts sometime that could temporarily bring confusion, fear, doubt, or indecision. That is part of your spiritual warfare. When that happens, pray that those thoughts will be pulled down and brought under the control of Christ, "bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5). The Spirit of God will restore peace of mind.
