Are You Trusting God?

Trusting God means you don't depend only on what you can understand. So many people simply cannot trust God, because they only depend on what they understand. Our understanding is so limited, but what God can do in our lives extends far beyond our understanding. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

Trusting God is relying upon him, depending upon him, and putting your faith in him. You can do that when you really believe that God is always trustworthy. He will never lead you into error, nor direct you down the wrong path. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths(Proverbs 3:6).

Trusting God is believing his word. The Bible is God's word written for all who trust him. It is God's covenant word. He promises with an oath to perform his word in your life. LORD is God's covenant name. It's his personal name. He wants a personal relationship with you day by day, as you walk with him in his word. Believe his promises. Trust his word.

Trusting God is believing his providence is at work in your life. He works in the details of your life. His providence is guiding you, when you understand and when you don't understand. He has a plan for your life. He leads you as a shepherd leads his sheep, and he will direct your paths.
