God not only tells us that He loves us, but He proves it. God sent His Son to die for us. He died for our sins at the cross. See God's love in Christ crucified. Yes, God's love for us is forever proven. But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, AMP).
God's love for us is proven at the cross of Jesus. Why do you doubt at times? It could be that you see yourself not good enough for God to love. The truth is that none of us earn nor deserve God's love. God does not love us because we are always good. He loves us, because God is love (1 John 4:8).
God's love for the world is proven. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). That includes every nation, all races, and every ethnic group. That includes you. The Bible has been described as God's love letter to us.
God's love for us is proven by the Holy Spirit. Upon confessing Jesus as our Lord, the Holy Spirit does something beyond our ability to completely understand, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5). Then, God's love for us is proven in our hearts.
