Life in the Spirit begins when we trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord. The Spirit of Christ lives in every believer. We experience love, joy and peace, as the fruit of the Holy Spirit within us. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace (Galatians 5:22).
Life in Christ does not mean we will have no problems nor trouble. However, our love, joy and peace is not controlled by outward circumstances. Through it all, we can live in peace knowing that the Spirit of Christ is within us through every circumstance.

The love of Christ is obvious through fellowship with other believers. The Christian life was never meant to live alone. We are members of the same body, that is the church, the body of Christ. There is love when we gather together with God's wonderful people.
When believers sin, we grieve the Holy Spirit. That results in a temporary loss of joy and peace. However, God has provided a way to restore us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). God cleanses us to restore our joy and peace.
