The pastor was new to his church. He had only been there for a few months. In a Sunday evening service, he called for volunteers to share brief testimonies of what the Lord had done in their lives. After the service a man said to him, "Pastor, I realized tonight that I had nothing to share. I've been attending this church for years, but I really don't know God in a personal way." That night he talked with the pastor for a couple of hours. Finally, they had prayer and the man asked God to change his life.
The next Sunday evening, the man asked permission to tell his story. Many other people in that service were touched by his words, because they were in the same situation. His testimony brought change in their lives through Christ.

Jesus brought real change in a man's life. The man wanted to stay with Jesus, but the Lord told him to go home and tell his story to others. That man's testimony had an impact on the entire city. The people not only heard his words, but they knew that an obvious difference had taken place in his life. He was living proof of what the Lord can do in a person's life.

There are others in the same situation that need the hope and encouragement of your personal story. God will give you opportunities to tell your story.
