Fear causes us to feel helpless, expecting bad things to happen. There is one sure thing to do when fear comes. Call upon God for help. It is not God's will for you to be controlled by tormenting fear. God will answer your prayer to deliver you from all fear. "I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me, freeing me from all my fears" (Psalm 34:4, NLT).
Asking God to deliver you from all fear brings sure results. You will know when the answer comes. There will be a change in your life. Joy replaces fear. "Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy" (Psalm 34:5, NLT). Joy is God's will for your life. The Spirit of God brings joy. Fear and joy cannot live in the same place. God's joy dismisses fear every time.
God has a motive for delivering you from all fear. That motive is God's goodness. Believe in the goodness of God. He is good all the time. He wants to do good in your life. Trust in God's goodness. "Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in him" (Psalm 34:8, NLT).
Share your testimony how God set you free from your fear. Others need to know that God will show his goodness, when we call upon him for help. Praise God for all the good things he has done for you. Those who find themselves living with fear need your encouragement. They need the assurance that God is good to help them.
