Are you trying to get somewhere in life? You are trying so hard to make it happen, but it only gets harder on the way. You may be going the wrong way. When you get tired and weary of trying to go against the current of God's will for you, surrender to His will, "that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2).
God's will is good and complete. He has a life for you to live. It won't be trying so hard to make it happen. Swimming up stream is going against the current. In time, you will be without strength. That's the time to change direction. Turn and go the other way. Let the flow of the current provide the power on the way. So it is, when you turn from your way, and yield to let life happen God's way.
Letting life happen God's way means that His will is your will. Now you pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done" (Matthew 6:10). You are no longer trying desperately to make life happen your way. Your prayers no longer seek to get God to do it your way. God has a better way, even the best way!

Now you know that God "works all things according to the counsel of His will" (Ephesians 1:11). God does not need our counsel. Let life happen according to God's will. Yield to His counsel.
