Faith and hope are abiding gifts of the Holy Spirit. They give evidence of things not seen. God's people walk by faith, not by sight. Things not seen are the things of God. God is Spirit. You cannot see Spirit with your natural eyes. Faith sees God at work in your life now. Hope sees God at work in your life for the future.
Unless the Holy Spirit enables you to know things not seen, you are left helpless to understand. All of your efforts to have a breakthrough in understanding spiritual things are futile, until the Holy Spirit works in your heart.
Through the good news of Christ, you have access to the things of God through the Holy Spirit. He leads you to experience the living Christ by faith. He gives you hope in the life eternal. He leads you into all truth in Christ, according to your Bible.
