Many years ago, a boy was riding on a train. Not finding the scenery interesting, he was bored and restless. A woman sitting nearby said, "Are you tired of this long trip?" The boy smiled and said, "I'm a little tired, but I don't mind it that much. You see, my father is going to meet me when I get there." He was not thinking about now but then.
Life is like a journey. We may become bored or restless. We may find ourselves with a heavy load of care. The burdens of life can weigh us down. We need to know that we are on the right track, travelling in the right direction, with hope for what is to come.
God's children are not exempt from heavy burdens. When that happens, remember some important truths. We never travel alone. Our heavenly Father always travels with us. The Holy Spirit is our constant companion. God's grace is able to sustain us with heavy burdens.
We should remember that God puts people in our lives to help with our burdens. Also, we have the privilege of helping others with their burdens. "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2).

Do you have a burden? Don't forget to share it with God in prayer. Never hesitate to ask for His help. You may be surprised at His response. Be sensitive to anyone He brings to encourage you and help bear your burden. God works through other people to help us. Don't forget how He has used others to help you. Then, ask Him to use you in like manner. "Bear one another's burdens."
