Walk with Patience

Patience is not popular in many places and with certain people. Patience has often been accused of laziness, but time usually proves the critics wrong. So many people do not like to be around patience. They may quickly say, "We've got to do something and do it now!" Patience often irritates them. Their philosophy is stated this way, if it is to be, it's up to me. Patience dares to wait when others are in a frenzy. "But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength" (Isaiah 40:31, NLT).

Patience is not waiting in vain, because patience knows how to wait on God. Patience looks for no excuse to be idle nor lazy. Patience works with what is at hand, knowing that God's timing is perfect. Patience refuses to pressure people and demand its way. Patience knows that God is always at work around us.

Patience is not slack when it comes to work. However, patience understands that God works in us and through us to do His will. Patience works in peace, trusting God to work all things together, in His time, according to His will. "Wait patiently for the LORD" (Psalm 27:14).

Patience is your friend. He will never put pressure on you to jump, nor demand that you do something. Patience encourages you that God has a plan and purpose for your life. Patience teaches you to trust God, even when things are not moving fast enough in your life. Walk with patience today. Patience will lead you to walk in peace. Patience assures you that you are walking with God. "But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in our lives: ... peace, patience ..." (Galatians 5:22, NLT).
