Your Direction in Life

What is your direction in life? Some people only go in circles. That means they are really going nowhere. The people who look at maps are going somewhere. They are looking for the best route to take. They know where they are going. They plan to get there.

Everyone needs a sense of direction. There must be a goal in life, otherwise it really doesn't matter where you are going. A sense of direction gives you focus and a vision for the future. An idle life is a waste. That wasted life is meaningless, without a sense of direction.

God has a map for direction in your life. You can read about it in the Bible. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have a goal and a plan in life with an eternal destiny. In Christ, you know why you are here and where you are going. You can say, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). That's a life well lived with a destiny eternal.

God's map for you includes a direction for works that He will do through you. As a believer in Jesus Christ, God has you here for a purpose. He has places for you to go and things for you to do. He will do those things through you. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10).
