Guidance is necessary to achieve anything. Without the right guidance, your life is sure to go astray. It's like driving your car on a trip. You must know your destination. You must know your direction. So it is in life. Where are you going? How will you get there? That depends on your guidance.
With so many other things in this world to distract you, it's easy to lose your sense of direction. You could become so distracted that you don't know which way to go. God will guide you in the right way on the right paths. The psalmist testified, "He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name" (Psalm 23:3, NLT).
Faith is putting God first. That means God is leading in the direction of your life above all other things. God controls all things. He gives you all things. Faith understands that God is the source of all things. Therefore, your guidance into God's way includes all things. However, when your direction is wrong, you miss the purpose of all things.
It's easy to lose your way in life. Other things may become more important to you. Then, your sense of direction is lost. Your life may become scattered and confused. That's the time to turn to God. Ask God to guide your life in all things.
