Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9, NLT). Those are encouraging words. God knows you need to be encouraged. Everybody does. No one can receive too much encouragement. In the midst of all the problems of life, you need to know where to find encouragement. God is your source of needed encouragement.
God sends encouraging words to you through the Bible, ministers, family, and friends. Sometimes a word of encouragement may even come through a note in the mail or maybe an email. God has unlimited ways of encouraging you.
God has a way of getting encouraging words to you, when you need them most. God encourages you, because He cares. He sends encouragement as a token of His love for you. God delights to encourage you, because He is good.
God knows exactly when you need encouraging words. He is always there with you. He has encouragement for you today. Open your eyes and ears to receive the encouragement that you need today. A word you hear or overhear unexpectedly could be just what you need. You may read a word that will encourage you. Don't limit God in how the word of encouragement comes to you. He knows you need to be encouraged.
