Keep Your Life in Tune

There is a rhythm to life that brings harmony like a piano in tune. Your life can get out of tune and everyone notices. When you get out of tune in one area, it effects your entire life. Relationships in tune with others is a key to a happy life.

"Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all" (Romans 12:16, NLT).

Don't try to act more important than others. If you choose that attitude, others will quickly notice. If we only try to network with the so-called important people, others will quickly notice. Our attempts to get ahead of others by knowing and cultivating friendships with "just the right people" will get our lives out of tune.

If you are bent on being smarter than everyone else by knowing everything about everything, you will soon be out of tune with others. It's not how much we know or even who we know, but it's about being in tune with God and others.

Dare to examine your motives. Who are you trying to impress? Why do you want to impress the "right" people? These questions can reveal the problem, when you are living out of tune.
