God is there for you. He is not a God who is far away. God is near, even near you. You may ask, how can I experience God as near? The Bible clearly answers your question. You can know God as near through Christ. God is near you, through faith in Jesus Christ. That's when God is near.
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ" (Ephesians 2:13). The blood of Christ refers to His death for our sins at the cross. God always seems far off, when our sins separate us from Him. After all, God is holy and we are sinful. He sent His Son to take way our sins. In Christ, know God is there for you now.
God is there for you, when you come to Him by faith in Christ. God is near you, when you trust the blood of Jesus to take away all your sins. Believe it and confess, "the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).
Don't depend upon your feelings to assure you that God is there for you. Feelings change fast. Faith in Christ means God is near you all the time. As a believer in Christ, God is there for you. The assurance is the blood of His cross. In Christ, you have "boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus" (Hebrews 10:19). Know that God is there for you, by faith in Christ.
