Wise Counsel for You

Everyone needs a wise counselor from time to time. All along life's journey, problems arise as we encounter difficulty. You can be overwhelmed by problems. You don't have the answers. Help is needed. Who is your counselor? The psalmist said to God, "You guide me with Your counsel" (Psalm 73:24). Let God be your counselor.

God's wise counsel is found in your Bible. God has a unique way of bringing a verse from the Bible at just the right time to encourage and strengthen your faith. He may use another person to deliver the word of faith to you. It could be a word of wisdom or a word of knowledge. A word from God builds your faith and directs your path.

God's wise counsel speaks to your heart. His word of counsel always brings peace. Many thoughts may come to your heart, but not all of those thoughts bring peace. His thoughts are always identified with peace. Thoughts of the world cannot bring the peace of God. "And let the peace of God rule in your heart" (Philippians 3:15).

God's wise counsel is available anytime. No appointment is necessary. He is with you everyday and everywhere. You confront no life situation without His presence. He knows your thoughts. So, when you cannot speak out loud to Him, silent prayer is an option. Not only does He know your thoughts, but He can share His thoughts. They always come with wisdom. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God" (James 1:5).
