Broken lives may come from failure, a crisis experience, or great disappointment. A broken life is not always bad. It often takes a broken life before we are willing to get right with God. Every sin is rebellion against God's will and goodness. Eventually our sins break us. Sin's result is always tragic, always ending in broken lives.
A broken life is the first step in turning to God for restoration and renewal. We are awakened to a real need for change. God responds to a broken life with mercy and grace. People with a broken life are ready to do business with God. He is the only way forward. The choice is hopelessness or hope in God. The psalmist said to God, The sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. A broken and repentant heart, you will not despise (Psalm 51:17, NLT).
Look for others with a broken life. Share with them your hope in God. See if they are ready to receive God's mercy and grace in Jesus Christ. Offer to pray with them and for them. Encourage them that God wants to restore and renew them.
No case is hopeless with God. No one is beyond God's mercy with a broken life. Many times, we must wait until a broken life is obvious. Only God can restore broken lives. No life is hopeless, when we come to God by faith in Christ. Broken lives are restored.
