How Prayer Receives

Prayer is asking God and receiving. Thank God for what He has done for you in the past, but also thank God now by faith for what He will do for you. Prayer receives from God now what we shall see later. For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Prayer receives now, giving thanks to God. Doubt says, "God has helped me in the past. Maybe He will help me now." Unbelief says, "If there is a God, why should He help me?" Faith says, "I will thank God now for what He will do." Faith receives now, giving thanks to God for His faithfulness. Faith receives now, believing God to provide.

Prayer thanks God for what you have. Everything you have is a gift of God. That includes every heart beat and every breath of air. Gratitude is a virtue. Complaining will not help. Thank God for what He has done for you. Prayer also thanks God now for what He shall do for you .

Prayer receives now, thanking God for the good things He will do in your life. Praise God for His goodness. Trust the faithfulness of God. Faith receives now, depending upon God's mercy. Faith receives now, because God is always good. Exercise your faith now, as you thank God. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations (Psalm 100:5).
