So many things can rob us from the joy of life, including sickness, sorrow, financial difficulty, and broken relationships. However, through all of these things and many more trials and difficulties, the gift of God's love is steadfast and sure.
God wants you to enjoy your relationship with Him. Receiving God's everlasting and unconditional love, as well as believing in His goodness, will sustain you through the darkest night of the soul. His love never changes. His goodness never fails. He is the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). That's because God loves us.
Your heavenly Father has so many good gifts for you to receive. The greatest of all is the gift of God's love. When you receive God's love, you are able to love God and others. This greatest gift of God is received from the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5).
Sad but true, many reject the love of God and the joy of life. Love will never be forced upon you. Love will seek you and pursue you, but never force its way into your life. So it is with God's love. The joy of life is knowing you are loved. God's gift of love is for you in Christ, through the Holy Spirit. Ask God to fill you with his love.
