"And I will pray the Father,
and He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever."
John 14:16
The man came to his pastor distressed. He said, "I have tried to live the Christian life and I have failed time and time again. I feel like giving up." The pastor smiled and said, "Welcome to the daily battle of every Christian. You're not alone. You see, we can't live the Christian life in our own power, so God our Father has sent the Helper. He's the Holy Spirit, and He is with us forever."
Have you come to that point of defeat and failure in living the Christian life? The good news is that you don't need to try alone. Jesus prayed that the Father would send the Holy Spirit to help you. His help is powerful to help you.
As a believer, you are indwelt with the Holy Spirit. Don't ignore His presence. Search the Scripture to understand how the Holy Spirit helps you. The Holy Spirit empowers you to live for Christ. He is your Helper forever. Recognize His presence. Trust Him to guide you into all truth through the Bible. Depend upon Him to help in your prayer life. Allow Him to use you as a witness to others for Christ.
Admit to God when you are weak and helpless to live the Christian life. The Holy Spirit will enable and empower you to live for Christ. God works in your life through the Helper. Never forget the Helper is with you forever.
