Those Who Know God

Do you know God? There is a difference in knowing about God and knowing him through a personal relationship. Many may talk about God who have never really known God. There is a way that you can be sure to know God. "Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God" (1 John 4:7, NLT).

Knowing God is knowing real love. The world's definition of love is far different from God's. The world understands love to be conditional and temporary. God's love is unconditional and forever. "Love will last forever" (1 Corinthians 13:8, NLT). Love is forever, because God is love.

Those who know God experience his love. It's more than religious talk. It's a reality in your life. Experiencing God's love changes our lives. His love works through us to love others. God's love changes the way we deal with the circumstances of life. "Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance" (1 Corinthians 13:7, NLT).

Those who know God's love experience the greatest miracle. The power of God is love. His power changes our lives. A life changed by God's love is the greatest miracle of all. "And if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, without love I would be no good to anybody" (1 Corinthians 13:2, NLT).
