Proof Christ Lives

"He also presented Himself alive after His suffering
by many infallible proofs."

Acts 1:3

Riding down the highway, I saw a sign that read: "Christ Lives - No Bones about It." The implication was that the body of Jesus was never found after the empty tomb by those who did not believe. The resurrection of Jesus could have been easily disproved had someone found his body. There is certain evidence for Christ risen from the dead, even "many infallible proofs." He was seen by the disciples in the forty days before His ascension. He was seen of more than five hundred people at the same time (1 Corinthians 15:6).

The greatest evidence today that Christ lives is the Holy Spirit using the witness of the Bible, changing the hearts and lives of people. The Holy Spirit is the primary witness to the resurrection of Christ, the same Holy Spirit who inspired the writers of Scripture, both the prophets of the Old Testament and the apostles of the New Testament. He is the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 1:4). The Holy Spirit gives us faith and hope in Christ (1 Corinthians 13:13). He pours out the love of Christ into our hearts (Romans 5:5).

Do you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead? If you do, it's because the Spirit of grace is working in your heart. You can know that your sins are forgiven and you have eternal life in the risen Christ (Romans 5:8; 6:23; 10:9). There are many infallible proofs, and your conversion to Christ is proof within itself.

Prayer: Father, we believe Christ died for our sins, and He is risen from the dead.
