A man said to a minister, "I don't believe the Bible. All it is would be paper and ink, no different from any other book." The minister asked the man if he was married. He said that he was, but didn't know what that could possibly have to do with the Bible. The minister said, "The only way you can prove that you are married is through paper and ink, and that marriage license has words and signatures written in ink that you are married." The minister went on to tell him that the Bible is paper and ink, but it has the signature of God on it, which is the Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The greatest proof of the inspiration of the Bible is the change that it has made in so many lives over so many centuries. Some ignore it and others ridicule it, but it stands as the source of God's wisdom for every believer to receive. It gives us wisdom about forgiveness and salvation. It has God's wisdom concerning life and death. It teaches us the wisdom of living by faith in the promises of God.
Do you need God's wisdom to help you through guilt, problems, burdens and difficulties? It's available for you to read in the Bible. Find your questions answered with wisdom from God's Word. Believe the promises of God declared in the Bible. Let them work in your life, then you will experience God's wisdom.
Father, we need Your wisdom with all the issues of life. As we read the Bible, speak to our hearts, in Jesus name. Amen.
