The word blessed is a covenant term from the Bible. To be blessed is to find God's favor resulting in happiness. To be cursed is to be cut-off from the blessings of God. The covenant promise of God for every believer is to be blessed.

Being blessed by God through the forgiveness of your sins brings joy in life. It is a fruit of God's Spirit working in your life. Through a personal relationship with the Lord, every believer is blessed. Remember, it's not based upon what you have done, but what Christ has done for you.
