Choose to Trust God

Have you ever felt like God let you down? It's easy to trust God when all is well. Trust is never an issue when you have everything the way you want it. When a crisis and conflict comes, trust becomes a struggle. You don't understand. Why is God letting this happen to you? Questions of doubt attack your faith in God.

Your feelings and emotions will tempt you not to trust God. After all, you think this just doesn't feel right. Remember, feelings are like the wind, often changing quickly. Feelings can easily cause you to doubt God, especially in situations where you are anxious and fearful.

What you hear from others can bring doubt, causing you to look for help from anyone but God. The pressure of doubtful words others speak can play tricks on your imagination. You could become focused upon all possible fearful scenarios. That takes your focus away from God.

Choose to trust God, when you understand and when you don't. Trust God when your faith is weak and when it is strong. Trust God when your imagination is filled with fear. Trust God when you feel helpless and just can't see your way. His faithfulness is sure. His word of promise changes not. He is trustworthy all the time and everywhere. Choose to trust God.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding."

Proverbs 3:5
