There are so many things in life that can bring you into the yoke of slavery. The bondage to addictions, bitterness, hatred, fear, circumstances, and the list goes on without end. You may be in bondage and not even know it, until you feel trapped. Slavery can be physical, relational, mental, emotional, or spiritual. It makes its painful awareness real.
God's will is for you to be free. He desires for you to have self-control. He didn't make you to be enslaved by anyone or anything. God wants you to have a personal relationship with Him, but He will never force you into a relationship. He gives you choice. He invites you to come to Him. He loves you and wants you to love Him. God wants you free.
God not only wants you to be free, but He has provided a sure way for you to be free. Jesus is the way, God's way to freedom. Jesus came to set you free from spiritual bondage to the powers of darkness, the addictive habits that take control of you, and the fear of death. He died not only to forgive your sins, but to set you free from the power of sin and spiritual darkness. Jesus sets the prisoner free. He will set you free. Call upon Him now. He's there for you, and all who trust Him.
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
