If Christ is Not Risen

"And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile;
you are still in your sins."

1 Corinthians 15:17

The faith of God's people is not based upon mythology nor fiction. To the contrary, it is based upon a miracle witnessed by hundreds who saw Jesus after His resurrection. They talked with Him and walked with Him. He was more than a vision. He was alive in a glorified body.

The single most important doctrine in the Christian faith is the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. If Christ is not risen, all is lost. There is no reality to faith. Then, we must die in our sins without the hope of eternal life.

If Christ is not risen, our faith is like a sand castle washed away by a powerful wave. If Christ is not risen, the apostles and all the witnesses who testified to His resurrection are liars of the worst sort. They suffered punishment, prison, and became martyrs. For what, if Christ is not risen?

The faith of every believer must be based upon the solid foundation of Jesus in the resurrection. Does the God who made man in the beginning not have power to raise the dead? If God is God, then He must have power to raise His Son from the dead. He is God. Jesus is alive. We believe. Our faith is in God who raised Jesus from the grave.
