Life is about making decisions. Some may fear making decisions, because they don't want to take the responsibility for being wrong. Yet, God has given all of us choices in life. He will not make decisions for us, but God will guide us to make good decisions.
How do you make decisions? Most people would probably want to know the facts and consider their options. Some may simply go by their feelings without seeking information. There are people who pray and seek God's good will in making their decisions.
In making good decisions, it's not always what's best for me. Rather, how will my decision affect the lives of others? Selfishness blatantly says, "I don't care about others. It's my life. I'm doing this for me. I'm doing what I want."
God's guidance for us is always based upon love, because "God is love" (1 John 4:8). As we make decisions in life, we may ask, what's best for me? Better still, let us determine to ask God, how will my decision affect others? "Love . . . does not seek its own" (1 Cor. 13:5).
Love is always the will of God, simply because God is love. Knowing the will of God is not difficult. He who knows God's love, knows God's will. Love always makes good decisions.
