Live in Peace

Living in peace is God's will for you. The Bible makes it clear. "His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7, NLT). You can live in peace through Christ Jesus.

Peace comes through a relationship with God. That relationship is found through faith in Christ. We have peace with God through the gospel of Jesus Christ. He died for our sins to give every believer peace with God. The Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from the dead, brings peace to our hearts. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit within us (Galatians 5:22).

There are times when we lose our peace. It's not because God has forsaken us. He is with us always. The problem is one of focus. When we focus more on a problem or conflict than we do God, our peace of mind is gone. Refocusing upon God is the key to renewing peace within us.

When a believer is out of God's will, it is easily discerned. We lose our peace of mind. We may need to confess a sin. We may need to change the direction of our lives. God's peace always confirms that we are living in God's will. Therefore, we should let the peace of God have the final word in all of our decisions (Colossians 3:15). Live in peace.
