Patience Works for You

Patience is a virtue that most people don't want. After all, we want what we want, and we want it now. Patience is willing to wait. Patience waits without frustration or irritability. It's not how long you must wait. The important thing is upon whom you wait. Patience is a virtue, because it waits on God.

Patience is willing to trust in God's providence. God's providence works in all things for those who love Him. God works even in the details of our lives. He's always up to something good in the lives of those who trust Him.

It's really hard to wait, unless you are waiting on God. Patience waits with certainty that God's providence is always good. Patience testifies, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life" (Psalm 23:6). Patience works for you, because God is good.

Patience does not fret and refuses frustration. Patience walks with peace. It is "the peace of God, which passes all understanding" (Philippians 4:7). Patience and peace are constant companions. They work together in the lives of God's people. Patience works for you.

Impatience will tempt you, as it often does all of us. Just remember that impatience does not trust God nor consider His providence. Impatience will tempt you to say and do the wrong thing. Impatience works against you. However, patience works for you.
