Break Free from Fear

Fear enslaves people in many ways. Fear is spiritual bondage, hindering you from the joy of God's love. It is also emotional bondage, with unseen chains, hidden from the eyes of others, but constantly present with its victims. Fear becomes the primary motivation of those enslaved, having the final decision in every choice. It is a cruel master, taking control of your thoughts and actions.

Fear becomes the normal for those who have surrendered to it. They yield, because they see no way out. Fear becomes the counselor to those who follow its constant promise of impending evil. Fear gives the imagination a variety of scenarios, and none of them are good. Fear constantly sees nothing but danger and disaster.

Fear never walks with love. Fear torments and harasses its victims. Love brings peace and joy, patience and self-control. Fear introduces its victims to constant anxiety and worry. Love introduces you to God. That's who He is. It's simply not God's will for you to live in bondage to fear. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7).

The power of God delivers you from fear. That power is God's Spirit working in your heart, that is your mind, will, and emotions. The one who delivers you from all fear is Jesus Christ. He is the Savior from the torment of fear. He is the champion of love. Call upon Him. Ask Him to deliver you from the bondage to fear. Break free from fear by the grace of God.
