You can know that your sins are forgiven, and you have eternal life in the risen Christ. There is much evidence, and your conversion to Christ is evidence within itself.
There is certain evidence for Christ risen from the dead. He was seen by the disciples in the forty days before his ascension. He was seen of more than five hundred people at the same time. The apostle Peter said, "God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are witnesses to this fact" (Acts 2:32, NIV).
The Holy Spirit is the primary witness to the resurrection of Christ. He is the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead. The Holy Spirit gives you faith and hope in Christ. He pours out the love of Christ into your heart. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13, NIV).
Every person whose heart has been changed by the Spirit of grace is proof that Christ lives. Your faith is real. Your hope is steadfast and sure. The love of Christ is within you. The very same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. That means you are living proof of the risen Christ.
