Forgiven

Forgiven is the word for those who have met the mercy of God. Forgiven is the name for everyone who has received the blessing of God. "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered" (Psalm 32:1). Forgiven is he whose sin is now covered as far as God is concerned. Is your name Forgiven?

Forgiven has received the grace of God. He knows there is no way that he deserves the favor of God. Yet, he has received it as unmerited favor. Forgiven can never boast of his goodness. He will boast of the goodness of God in grace alone. Forgiven gives all the glory to God for amazing grace!

Forgiven has eyes of faith to see Jesus hanging on the cross for him. In his place Jesus was condemned. For his sins Jesus died. Forgiven knows that his sins are paid in full. Forgiven sees that his sins are covered forever by the blood of Jesus. Forgiven knows that he can only boast in the cross of Jesus. "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Ephesians 1:7).

Forgiven praises God now and forever. He gives all the glory to God because his sins are covered. Forgiven knows God did for him what he could have never done for himself. Forgiven is free from all condemnation. His guilt is gone. His shame has been removed. Forgiven is blessed by grace alone in Christ alone.
