Your Priority in Life

Priority is necessary to achieve anything. Without a priority, your life may become scattered. That can easily lead to confusion. It's like driving your car on a trip. You must know your destination. You must know your direction. So it is in life. Where are you going? How will you get there? That depends on your priority.

With so many other things in this world to distract you, it's easy to lose your sense of direction. You could become so distracted that you don't know which way to go. Jesus taught us to put our priority upon God and all other things will fall in place. He said, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33).

Faith has the priority of putting God first. That means God is the priority in your life, above all other things. God controls all things. He gives you all things. Faith understands that God is the source of all things. Therefore, your first priority in God includes all things. However, when your priority is on other things, you miss the purpose of all things.

It's easy to lose your priority in life. Other things may become more important to you. Then, your sense of direction is lost. Your life may become scattered and confused. That's the time to return to your first priority in God. Make God the priority of your life in all things.
