Renewing Your Mind

Do you find it hard to change your mind about anything? You may have a world view that has no place for God or the amazing things that he can do in your life. God calls you to change your mind. The Bible refers to this change of mind as repentance. "From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of God is near" (Matthew 4:17, NIV).

When God's grace works in you, it will always lead to a change of mind. You begin to understand the things of God. Repenting, that is changing your mind, receives the truth of God. He renews our minds. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2).

Pray the Word: God, thank you for bringing me to repentance, to change my life by your grace. Continue to renew my mind that I may grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Do the Word: Read the Bible daily to renew your mind. Welcome words of correction that would lead to a change of mind. Be willing to change your mind in order to be open to God's will for your life.
