Our lives are like a lamp to God. He has placed us where He wants us, and if we are not, He has no problem in moving us one way or another. When His unseen hand touches our lives, the light comes on for others to see. A lamp was made with a purpose. So are you.
Your responsibility is to "let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Those good works in your life is the work of God's Spirit through you. He gives you certain abilities that we call talents and gifts. Use those God given abilities to the praise of His glory. He is the Light of your life. Let Him shine through you to glorify your Father in heaven.
Pray the Word: Father, work through me to glorify Your name. I want to use the talents and gifts that You have given me to the praise of Your glory, through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Do the Word: Use your talents and gifts to the glory of God. Recognize that your purpose in life is to bring glory to Him. That means to let your light shine in the good works God does through you.
