Your Help in Trouble

Trouble comes to everyone sooner or later, and that includes you. So it's not a question of whether trouble will one day come your way. It's a question of how you will handle trouble.

You need certain dependable resources in the day of trouble. You need good advice through wise counsel. You need patience in the midst of trouble. You also need friends who will be true. Most importantly, you need God's help. "LORD, you are my strength and fortress, my refuge in the day of trouble" (Jeremiah 16:19 NLT).

God's help is available for you. It's only a prayer away. Call upon God in your trouble. He is a faithful friend. He has all wisdom. He can give you patience. Most importantly, he wants to help you.

Don't be reluctant to ask God for help. He is the believer's helper. Receive the Lord as your helper. Have confidence in him through your trouble. "That is why we can say with confidence, the Lord is my helper, so I will not be afraid" (Hebrews 13:6, NLT).

Put your confidence in God to be your helper. He will not fail you. His word of promise is trustworthy no matter what the trouble may be. Fear will deceive you into thinking that you are helpless. Faith in God is based upon his sure word of promise. Only believe, trusting God to do what he has promised.
